Rope functions

  • The closing rope closes the jaws through the reeving mechanism.
  • The holding/lifting rope supports the main body and the load while the jaws are closed.
02

Four-stage operation

  • The grab is lowered onto the material with the jaws open.
  • The closing rope is pulled to grip the material.
  • Both ropes are pulled synchronously to lift the load.
  • The closing rope is released to discharge the load.
03

Advantages

  • Energy-independent operation without a motor, pump or electrical cable
  • Mechanical construction suitable for underwater, dusty and severe environments
  • Simple maintenance focused on rope inspection and lubrication
  • Bucket jaw tips and cutting edges are manufactured from wear-resistant HARDOX material.
04

Applications

  • Transfer of coal, ore, sand, scrap, cement and clinker
  • Ship loading and unloading at ports
  • Iron and steel plants
  • Dredging vessels and thermal power plant stockyards
